Anne Elise Real hair extension is completely Raw Virgin hair; our hair has ‘NOT’ been chemically processed in order to achieve its natural colour. Also note that mild/strong doses of peroxide can cause long term and irreversible damage to your hair leaving your extensions very dry and bristle, leading to the build up of split ends and the life expectancy to be shortened.
Maintenance and Tailoring
In order to preserve and prolong the original state of your real hair extensions we advice our clients to care for it ‘as if it is growing from your roots’! Our hair specialists recommend regular shampooing and conditioning once a week or twice a month. To minimise shedding and tangling, never allow your extensions get dry and moisture should be restored. The best form of moisturizers for your real hair extensions remains serum and conditioners. Avoid products with alcohol as they leave the hair with a dry and damaged feel/look.
Be versatile! There are many different ways to alter and transform how you look! Why stick to one style? Our stylists recommend using heating appliances that are designed with Ceramic coated plates in order to maintain the natural Keratin layer of the hair whilst also providing a perfect finish. Do remember to always use a heat protector when placing heat on your extensions regardless of the temperature.
That’s fine! If you prefer not to use any heat appliances, which is perfectly normal, we strongly recommend using Flexy rods/Bendy rollers for styling your hair. This can be done prior to your daily/evening arrangements or kept in over night.
Shampoo and conditioning
We believe it is essential that you wash your real hair extensions at least once a month using appropriately formulated shampoo brands such as Tressme, Herbal Essences, L’oreal etc.
Conditioning is important in your real hair maintenance, we recommend deep conditioning twice a month whilst leaving in for 2hrs.
Comb your beautiful real hair extensions from rear to rear using a wide toothcomb, starting from the bottom and gradually working your way upPart hair into sections using hair bandsWet the hair slightlyApply shampoo in a downward motion working from the bottom upwardsRinse thoroughly with warm water without scrubbingTowel-dry slightly for conditioning application.
Insure your hair is not completely dryApply Conditioner from the bottom working your way up to the wefts whilst gently combing the hair.Leave in product for 20-45minutes (1Hour -2Hours if deep conditioning)RinseAllow hair to towel dry and/or air dry
For that perfect finish, we suggest that an adequate amount of hair serum is added onto your real hair extensions whilst in processes of completely drying in order to give your hair life and add that brand new shine, a healthy feel and look. Avoid using excessive amounts of serum as this will make your extensions look greasy.
Anne's Pink Tips
Braiding your hair at night just before Bed Time can help to keep your natural waves/ curls. The use of a satin scarf to ‘Wrap’ your hair at night will preserve your hair, keeping in the correct moisture as well as taking off the excess. This will also help to minimise night time shedding which is caused by the friction of your head and the pillow.Your real hair extensions will look better for longer if you can look after it. Your hair is an investment so invest time in looking after it. Do not neglect your hair! It is your crown that you cannot take off!
